Before You Enroll

Documents you’ll need to provide on your first day to enroll in benefits:

  • Marriage license

  • Social Soc Cards

  • Child(ren)’s birth certificates
    (and adoption or guardianship documents if applicable)

  • LTC exemption letter

TIP:  Dental coverage is automatic for employees but not dependents. You must go to the enrollment site dental page to enroll your spouse and children.

Dependent Care FSA

TIP: Because the maximum payout for both core and buy-up LTD is $5,000 per month, buy-up LTD is only helpful to those earning less than $100,000 a year.

TIP: You have 90 days from your hire date to choose which PERS Plan you want.

TIP: You need to enroll in both the 457 and 401(a) plans. Your contributions will go into your 457 account and the District’s contributions will go into your 401(a) account.
