One Leave

One Coordinated Experience

Beginning July 1, 2026, Chelan PUD's One Leave program provides employees with one place to request and manage a leave of absence through The Hartford.

What is One Leave?

One Leave brings together Chelan PUD's Voluntary Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) Plan, Short-Term Disability (STD), and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) job and benefit protections into one coordinated leave process. Administered by The Hartford, One Leave provides employees with one point of contact for requesting leave, submitting documentation, and managing their leave throughout the process.

When Can I use One Leave?

The Hartford will help determine which programs apply to your situation. One Leave may be available for qualifying leave requests, including:

  • Your own serious health condition or injury

  • Pregnancy and childbirth recovery

  • Baby bonding

  • Care for a qualifying family member

  • Certain military family leave situations

How to Get Started

Employees should contact The Hartford to request a leave of absence. For planned leaves, employees should generally provide at least 30 days' advance notice. If the need for leave is unexpected, employees should contact The Hartford as soon as possible.
